Teach your customers one address, and only one

· 4 min read

Most sellers start by sending photographs to individual customers. It works until it doesn't — at about twenty enquiries a day it becomes the whole job, and you are retyping the same specifications you typed yesterday. The fix is that everything points at one address.

Put it in the places people already look

Your WhatsApp Business profile, your Instagram and TikTok bios, your Facebook page, your email signature, your printed receipts, and your shop signage.

The address does not change, so every place you put it keeps working. That is the difference between marketing that accumulates and marketing you have to redo.

Send the link instead of the photographs

When someone asks what you have, send the catalogue rather than six images. They see everything, including the items they were not asking about, and you get your afternoon back.

This is where a catalogue earns its keep for a wholesaler in particular: one link replaces the price-list PDF you keep having to update and re-send.

Consider your own domain once you are established

A custom domain — yourbusiness.ug — is a Pro feature and it matters most where trust is expensive: electronics, property, professional services, anything where a buyer is spending serious money or a procurement officer is checking you out.

For a café or a salon, the free sokoshops.co address is genuinely fine. Spend the money where it does work.
